President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that the halal market, which has grown in importance in the competitive global market, has become a sector preferred not just by Muslims but by all consumer groups due to its clean, healthy, and dependable goods and services.
The 8th World Halal Summit and 9th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Halal Expo Fair, which bring together stakeholders in the global halal economy and seek to increase Türkiye's market share, have started.
The event, held in cooperation with the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), of which Anadolu Agency (AA) is a global communication partner, and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), has started at the Istanbul Expo Centre with the participation of the Minister of Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati.
The message sent by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was read at the opening of the event, which is held under the auspices of the Presidency with the motto "For a Sustainable Trade: Explore All the Aspects of the Growing Global Halal Industry" this year.
Expressing his gratitude for the invitation to the event in his message, President Erdoğan said:
"The halal market, which has grown in importance in the competitive global market, has become a sector preferred not just by Muslims but by all consumer groups due to its clean, healthy, and dependable goods and services. I hope the summit and the Expo event you have organised to establish Türkiye as a hub in the halal economy, develop halal trade and render new markets accessible will be fruitful. I greet all participants wholeheartedly and congratulate those who contributed to the organisation of the World Halal Summit in Istanbul and the 9th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Halal Expo, which will bring together all the partners of the world halal economy."
