Illumination of historical sites in Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir for Victory Day

As part of the Victory Day celebrations on August 30, our Directorate projected the Turkish flag onto historical sites in Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir.

The Turkish flag was projected with a light painting technique on the Galata Tower, Haydarpaşa Train Station, Dolmabahçe Oath Gate, Beyazt Tower, Kuleli Military High School, and Beşiktaş Naval Museum, and a fireworks display was held as part of the August 30 Victory Day and Turkish Armed Forces Day celebrations. Citizens watched the show with great interest.

In Ankara, the Turkish flag was projected onto the Old Parliament Building and Ankara Castle with a light painting technique.

During the show, the crescent star was reflected in red-and-white hues on both of İzmir's landmarks. As the İzmir Clock Tower took on a different beauty with the illumination, people around took selfies. The illumination of the Atatürk Museum building, onto which the Turkish flag was projected, was also lauded.
